Quaint and polished, unique space 

Following along a maze-like corridor, you will discover 14 guest rooms with varying charms and tastes. These rooms were constructed in different eras - Meiji, Taisho and Showa. As if time traveled, the guest rooms are quaint and sophisticated. We will welcome you with a detail oriented unmatched hospitality.

  • Please feel free to contact us with any requests or questions, including selection of guest rooms with a view.
  • The three story wooden building has stairs only. No elevators or escalators available. Not wheelchair accessible.
  • The listed price is for a basic plan on weekdays which includes one night stay and two meals (taxes and service charges are included.) “Bathing tax of ¥150 is not included.” 
    Please note that during the busier season such as on a day before a holiday, during New Year holiday season, Golden Week, Obon holidays, and Silver Week, the prices may fluctuate.
  • All guest rooms have the following amenities; a refrigerator, a yukata set, bath towels, hand towels, and toothbrushes in the closet.
    Yukata, towels and toothbrushes can be replaced with fresh ones. We have a few different sizes of yukata, please inquire within.
  • Generally, meals are served in guest rooms. Occasionally they may be served in a private room separate from their guest rooms. We have dinnerware sets for small children. We also accommodate disinfecting milk bottles and warming up baby foods.

The Meiji Japanese style room still sits since 1868, the year our ryokan was founded. It is a relaxing guest room with “shoin-zukuri” style (a traditional Japanese residential architecture.) In the beginning of the Showa period, Ujo Noguchi, a well-known poet/lyricist of children’s songs and folk songs (such as “Shabondama,” and “Jūgoya Otsukisan” among others) sojourned at Misasa Onsen and refined his crafts.
